In a statement issued by local Iranian media on Sunday entitled “Aliyev and Pashinyan are the road to Zelensky’s misery,” IRGC’s political affairs commander Yadra Javani said, “Azerham Aliyev and Armenian prime ministers have reordered Pashinyan, with President Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and Armenian prime ministers reorganised. NATO would have been in the Caucasus region, and they would not have been fooled by gamblers (Donald) Trump.”
He wrote, “Unless considering the reality of the Caucasus and the interests of other countries in the region, the top officials of both countries, although influenced by the promises of the US, the Zionist regimes and several European countries, clumsyly took adventurous and expensive actions regarding their countries.”
Javani compared their actions to the decision of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to invite NATO to Russia’s traditional security zones. This has led to Russian military operations, saying, “The strategic mistakes by Zelensky have given heavy and irreversible costs to Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.”
The senior IRGC general added, “The mistakes made by these two leaders are far greater than the mistakes made by the Ukrainian president. His strategic mistakes meant that Zelensky only elicited Russians and opposed him.
