Speaking to journalists after serving as chair of the Cabinet meeting on Sunday afternoon, President Pezeshkian answered questions about the recently signed agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijani leaders on the White House Zangezur Corridor, saying his foreign minister, Abbas Aragchi, had recently given him a report on the issue.
“Of course, this corridor is not exaggerated in the news,” the president said, adding that “the demands of the Islamic Republic of Iran have been met.”
“The framework for maintaining territorial integrity, establishing ties with Europe and establishing the Islamic Republic’s intended relations with the North have been witnessed in this issue.”
“The only concern is that Armenian and American companies want to build this path,” he added.
