Evoking a history of mutual respect between South Africa and Iran, the general expressed his country’s interest in promoting defence relations with Iran.
He also condemned the Israeli regime’s criminal policies in Gaza and the West Bank.
The South African delegation, also received by Iranian military chief of staff, Major General Abdulrahim Musavi, issued harsh warnings to the Israeli regime and the United States, saying Iranian forces are ready to take a firm response to new attacks.
General Musabi also said at the conference that the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) is known as the world’s largest anti-terrorist army and has valuable experiences to share with South Africa.
