Speaking at a press conference after a meeting with Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabi Beli in Beirut on Wednesday, the social media secretary said, “Iran owes its strengths to national solidarity. Iran’s power has its roots in insightful people.”
“The Iranian Revolution was one of the biggest democratic revolutions,” he added.
“We don’t see friends as instruments. Resistance has a solid foundation and no guidance is needed,” said the newly appointed Iranian security official.
“Foreign states should not make policy decisions on Lebanon. Their relationship with Lebanon is so close that the people of Lebanese have a great record of resisting Zionists. The decision that the Lebanese government works with resistance and we respect is respected,” Larijani continued to emphasize.
He emphasized that Lebanon is an independent country and that it needs to make decisions on its own.
“We respect the decisions that the Lebanese government will make in cooperation with resistance,” he emphasized Iran’s top security officials.
“What’s important to us is that the governments in this region are independent and strong,” Larijani further argued.
He told the journalists who attended the Presser, “Who attacked your country other than Israel? Please note that Israel will not impose on you by any other means what it failed to achieve in the war. Please note that you should not confuse your friend with the inverse of the enemy.”
“Thank you for that because your enemy is Israel that attacked you and your friend resisted Israel,” the social media secretary added.
“Resistance is the wealth of a nation for Lebanon and other Islamic countries. Looking at the history of resistance, we see that resistance is always occurring against foreign intervention. In Lebanon, Hezbollah formed when Israel took Beirut.
In response to questions about whether Iran would provide military aid to Lebanon if Iran attacks again, he said, “If the Lebanese government asks us for military aid, we will provide it.”
The SNSC Director stressed that Iran is not intending to interfere with the internal affairs of other countries, saying, “The Lebanese government should talk to different tribes and reach a conclusion. Those who interfere with Lebanon’s issues will give you a timer for planning and action from thousands of kilometers.
