During the meeting, Lebanon’s Secretary-General Hezbollah reassessed Iran’s continued support of the Islamic Republic of Lebanon and resistance to the Zionist regime.
Naim Qassem praised Iran’s status along with Lebanon’s unity, friendship, sovereignty and independence.
He also highlighted the brotherhood between Iran and Lebanon countries, viewing these relationships as the axis of regional stability and resistance.
Iranian security guards arrived in Beirut on Wednesday morning to hold consultations with high-ranking Lebanese officials.
Earlier on Wednesday, Larijani met and met with Lebanon President Joseph Aung.
“Iran and Lebanon both have deep civilizations and for centuries there has always been a close relationship between the two countries,” Larijani said when he arrived at the airport.
“We stand by our dear people in Lebanon in all circumstances,” he added.
Before Lebanon, Larijani visited Iraq and signed a security agreement between Tehran and Baghdad.
