Emsaeil Baghaei, a spokesman for the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, made a statement at a press conference Monday morning.
Today, more than ever, the expansionist and dominant nature of the Israeli regime is evident to the countries in the region, Baghey said.
Senior Iranian diplomats argued that the statement of the Israeli government’s prime minister is advocating a mission to realize the idea of “great Israel,” adding that in their view a significant portion of Arab and Islamic land belongs to the plan, indicating that Zionists are aware of no restrictions in their expansion.
This was optimistic that agreements like the “Abraham Accord” could pave the way for peaceful coexistence. However, he stressed that even though Israel is pursuing Gaza and the West Bank genocide, it is still openly expressing its claims regarding the territories of Jordan, Syria, Lebanon and even some Saudi Arabia.
These positions, Baghey concluded, are increasingly demonstrating that Israel is an existential threat to regional security and that expansionism could force the region into an endless cycle of war if it was not hindered.
