Speaking about the inspection visit to the eastern border shared with Afghanistan in Teibad County, Razabi Khorasan province, Momeni told reporters: “Today we visited the boundary wall of Kolasan Razabi. This project is complete, another section of the wall is prepared and installed once the infrastructure is completed.
“It is extremely necessary to completely close the borders. This measure will play a very positive role in improving border security, the movement of criminals, drug trafficking and preventing illegal foreigners from entering,” the minister added.
In each area where the border wall project has been completed, it is 70-80% more effective in controlling illegal travel, and we hope that all borders foreseeable in this plan will be fully completed. ”
The border between Iran, particularly Afghanistan and Pakistan, is the focus of security efforts with challenges such as drug trafficking, illegal immigration and terrorism. Iran has been actively working to strengthen border security in the region through measures such as building walls, increasing surveillance and deploying advanced technology. These efforts aim to manage the movement of people and goods, curb illegal activities and ultimately maintain national security.
