Hospital officials told local media that the injured people were being treated at various hospitals, adding that at least five people were in danger, Xinhua also reported.
Police said the short circuit caused a fire in the factory warehouse, where raw materials used to prepare firecrackers were stored, causing major explosions and major damage to nearby buildings and vehicles.
Hassan ul Hashevik Khan, a spokesman for the National Rescue Group Rescue Corps 1122, told Xinhua that the rescue operation was in its final stages, with at least 10 firefighters and snorkels taking part in an attempt to eliminate the flames.
A committee was established to investigate the incident, police said.
Sindh Prime Minister Murad Ali Shah, noticing the incident, directed the authorities to ensure that the fire is in full control.
