The SNSC Secretary made a comment in a recent interview with Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, the official website of Leaders of the Islamic Revolution.
In an interview, he advised Iranian officials to “never abandon diplomacy,” but emphasized that “if the enemy turns scene diplomacy into a stage of show, nothing will come out of such diplomacy.”
He mentioned the Oman-born nuclear talks between Tehran and Washington in the spring, the latter abused it and gave the Israeli regime a green light to invade Iran one day before the sixth round of talks.
Iranian security officials have said the western states are using diplomatic calls as “dismissals” for other purposes, but stressed that Iran must prepare for all future scenarios and should continue to pursue diplomatic relations.
“We feel that the diplomacy they have is a diplomacy that creates excuses, but at the same time we should not say that we are abandoning diplomacy.”
Larijani further said Iran has conditions to resume negotiations, most importantly, that the consultations must be authentic.
“If you are looking for war, do your job and do your job. Come for negotiations every time you regret it. But if you reach the conclusion that this resilient and resistant country cannot force a lawsuit through war, you must realize that “the Iranians will not surrender.” The terms of the real negotiation are what you understand that was emphasized later.
