A rally in the occupying region attended by thousands of people called on the government of Benjamin Netanyahu to sign a contract with Hamas and bring prisoners of war held in Gaza to their families.
Thousands more people gathered to protest against the war, Israeli media reports said.
“There is a deal on the table, but the deal won’t last forever. We’ve seen their windows many times before. This may be our last chance to save lives and bring back those who have fallen.” Berman’s younger brothers, Gali and Jib Berman, were taken to Priosnah of Kibbutz Kfal Aza on October 7, 2023 by Hamas extremists, and were taken prisoner in Gaza.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Thursday that it had moved to approving a military attack plan aimed at conquering Gaza city. Protesters believe Netanyahu is not taking the deal seriously and is “sacrificing” the prisoners of war.
“He’s talking about negotiations, but in reality, he’s sacrificing them,” Berman told the Israeli Times.
Hamas said last week it agreed to the proposed deal. This said it would see the release of 10 living prisoners and 18 murder bodies and hundreds of Palestinian prisoners during the 60-day ceasefire in Gaza.
The Israeli regime and Hamas will negotiate the return of all remaining hostages during the ceasefire and the permanent end of the war.
However, Benjamin Netanyahu revealed that the transaction is only accepted if the terms meet all his criteria.
