In response to attempts by three European countries, including Britain, France and Germany, to evoke the so-called snapback mechanism, Ebrahim Azitzi said Europeans had no legal or political validity to induce a snapback mechanism against Iran’s Islamic Republic.
He said the Foreign Ministry is tasked with implementing macro policies and legislative works by parliament, adding that “by violating its commitments under the JCPOA and following in the footsteps of the US, European troika lacks legitimacy to use the JCPOA mechanism, but also needs to be held accountable for the violation.”
Instead of threats and political provocations, the European troika are undoubtedly seen as hostile and irresponsible moves towards Iran and receive immediate and decisive responses from the Islamic Republic.
As the Iranian state has never succumbed to bullying and has resigned in the future, the chairman emphasized that retaliatory and deterrent actions against hostile moves are the inviolable rights of the Iranian state.
