Since February 2022, Germany has provided a total of 50.5 billion euros to support Ukraine, the DPA news agency reported, citing data from the German Ministry of Finance released during its visit to Kiev in the province’s Chief Larsklingvail.
Of this amount, around 25 billion euros were spent on accepting Ukrainian refugees and housing, 17 billion euros for arms supply and military training, 6.7 billion euros for civil aid and 1.9 billion euros for direct budgetary assistance.
Germany intends to continue providing over 8 billion euros per year to Kiev through 2027 with bilateral military aid, according to the financial plan.
On Monday, Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Lars Klingbail arrived in Kiev on an unannounced visit, where he will meet with government officials, members of Verkhovna Rada and representatives of civil society.
