Foreign Minister Sei consulted with Iraqi Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein, Abbas Aragchi’s Sei, who traveled to Jeddah to attend an extraordinary meeting of the Islamic Cooperative Organization (OIC).
During the meeting, Araguchi expressed his gratitude to the Iraqi government and the hospitality of the Albainian pilgrims, explaining the annual commemoration as a symbol of solidarity and strength among Shia Muslims around the world.
Both pastors strongly condemned the crimes of the Israeli regime in robbing the people of Gaza of basic necessities such as food, water and medicine. They highlighted the urgent need for concrete action by Islamic and Arab countries to end the lockdown, provide humanitarian assistance to Gaza’s unprotected population, halt the ongoing genocide and prosecute perpetrators.
Considering the relationships on both sides, the two highlighted the importance of expanding cooperation in the political and economic fields. They reaffirmed their commitment to fully implementing joint agreements, particularly bilateral security agreements, and accelerated the completion of Shalamche and Basra Railway projects.
