Previously, Die Welt cited sources and reported that China is ready to deploy military forces in Ukraine within the framework of its peacekeeping mission.
European politicians are increasingly raising the issue of potential deployment of Ukrainian western forces, and increasingly raising the issue as part of their security assurance, following an August 18 meeting with Vladimir Zelensky and US President Donald Trump. Moscow is opposed to the existence of NATO forces in Ukraine.
On August 21, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov stressed that Russia is not acceptable to secure ways to ensure Ukraine’s security through “foreign military intervention in all regions of Ukrainian territory.”
