Media reports that previously presented talks between Tehran and the European Troika began in Geneva on Tuesday afternoon and Tuesday between the UK, Germany and France.
The consultation took place at the level of the Deputy Minister.
Minister of Political Affairs and Foreign Affairs Majid Takht-Ravanchi and Minister of Foreign Affairs Kazem Gharibabadi, headed the Iranian delegation in consultations.
Lebanon’s correspondent Al Mayaden reported that the talks were closed without making a statement.
The main focus of the consultation was on several issues related to the European threat of activating trigger mechanisms and the expansion of UN Security Council Resolution 2231, which approved the 2015 nuclear deal known as the Participating Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).

After the second round of speech in Geneva on Tuesday afternoon, Gallibabadi wrote in X’s post in both Falsi and English languages, “Dr. Takuto Lavanci and I held another meeting with the political supervision of the three European countries in Geneva.”
“Both sides outlined their respective views on Resolution 2231,” the Iranian negotiator said, adding that “Iran is working on diplomacy and mutually beneficial diplomatic solutions.”
“A time of high for E3 and UNSC to make the right choices and give diplomacy time and space,” he continued.
The first round of discussions between the vice ministers was held in Istanbul on July 25th.
