Three European countries (collectively known as E3) moved a letter to the UN Security Council early on Thursday.
In response, Iran’s Foreign Ministry said in a statement that the E3 movement is illegal and would negatively affect cooperation with the United Nations nuclear watchdog, known as the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).
In a call with Kallas, Araghchi said, “The E3 snapback move will further raise doubts about the true intentions of these countries towards Iran.”
“The Islamic Republic of Iran will respond appropriately to this illegal and unfair action by three European countries in order to protect the rights and interests of the state,” the Iranian minister emphasized.
In a letter to the crow early tonight, Araguchi emphasized that “the three European countries do not have the legal right or authority to rely on dispute resolution mechanisms or to activate the automatic recovery of sanctions.”
