In its statement, the ministry strongly condemned the European Troika decision to restore sanctions against Iran and called on the international community to reject the lawsuit.
He said that these three countries do not have a legal basis to use mechanisms to revive sanctions against Iran.
The statement added that the UK, Germany and France’s attempts to invoke snapbacks are a serious instability factor that undermines diplomatic efforts aimed at finding negotiated solutions and eliminating doubts about Iran’s peaceful nuclear programme.
The Russian Foreign Ministry emphasized the importance of preventing new escalations to Iran’s nuclear program, as demonstrated by foreign invasions of Iran in June.
The statement further stated that European countries participating in the JCPOA act deliberately outside the legal framework and only exacerbate their position as a violation of their commitment by encouraging other states to follow a one-sided path.
In conclusion, the ministry urged European countries to reconsider false decisions before they lead to irreversible consequences and new tragedy. The Russian view emphasized that their current approach to Tehran has no prospect of success.
