On the occasion of National Air Defense Day on Sunday, in a message to Iranian air defense commander Brigadier Alireza Sabahifad, commemorating the dedication and heroes of those who rely on faith, knowledge and innovation to protect Iran’s skies at major historic moments, Tasnim reported.
He also emphasized the imperative that modernize, enhance capabilities and enhance operational readiness, along with Iran’s experience in sacred defense over the eight years of the 1980s and the recent 12-day war of attack imposed by the Israeli regime and the United States, along with evolving regional and global security challenges.
Undoubtedly known as the forefront of national sovereignty, Iranian air defense must utilize the expertise of dedicated personnel to maintain and expand modern technology, domestic innovation, and efficiency and deterrence against emerging threats, Major General Musabi added.
The senior commander also emphasized the strategic importance of implementing a reliable, integrated national air defense system and improving coordination and synergy between the Iranian Army and the Islamic Revolutionary Security Force Corps (IRGC).
