The proverb “last straw” means last chance, last resort, or last effort to cause a change in circumstances, and since there is no hope for other opportunities, the utmost care and care must be taken when using it. This proverb is a photograph of a European troika using all the tricks against the Iranian state, and now only one shot remains. In this shot, Europe destroyed the bridge behind it, closed its diplomacy and showed obedience to America.
Below is a review of the European goals and results of this action.
1. The obvious European goal in this action is to try to restore the Security Council resolutions that directly and indirectly target Iran. European countries hope to persuade Iran to negotiate with the US, allow IAEA inspectors to visit Iran’s nuclear facilities and put pressure on them to learn about the rich amount of uranium. Iran explicitly states that Europe has no authority or right to activate trigger mechanisms because it failed to fulfill its obligations under the JCPOA, but looking at the provisions of previous UN resolutions, it shows that the return of these resolutions puts less pressure on Iran than the sanctions imposed by the US and Europe. Resolution 1696, for example, raised concerns about the goals of Iran’s nuclear program, and called for the suspension of the uranium enrichment program without imposing sanctions. Resolution 1737 Sanctions Nuclear Weapon Delivery System bans other countries from training Iranian citizens and imposes binding sanctions on the Iranian government and Iranian individuals and entities related to nuclear activities. The resolution also requires the state to notify the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) to Iran of exports of certain nuclear and missile items. Under resolution 1747, Iran is prohibited from directly or indirectly obtaining, selling or transferring conventional weapons or weapons registered by its country or by Iranian citizens, aircraft or vessels, and other countries in the United Nations or related goods. Resolution 1803 again refers to the nuclear weapons distribution system, adding new individuals and entities to the Council’s list of nuclear sanctions. The resolution also imposes economic sanctions, including the management of double-use goods in Iranian exports and imports, particularly in the military and civilian industries, and imposes certain restrictions on Iranian banks and institutions. In 1929, it was stated that Iran had no right to buy and sell ballistic missiles and profit from the technology. It also banned the movement of components by tanks, armored vehicles, fighter jets, attack helicopters, large caliber artillery, military ships, missiles, related systems and other countries. The freeze on assets of three companies related to Iran’s Islamic Republic (IRISL), 15 companies related to the Revolutionary Security Force, and 40 other Iranian companies have made the resolution more heavier than previous resolutions on Iran’s military operations. As you can see, UN Security Council sanctions target Iran’s economic ties primarily related to military and nuclear issues, and none of them allow an attack on Iran. European Union sanctions and unilateral sanctions by various countries such as the US and the UK directly target banking systems, including central banks and operating banks, oil sales and foreign exchange reserves, are the broadest sanctions against Iran in terms of diversity and scope. However, Iran not only reduced the devastating effects of sanctions with its initiative, but has made significant progress following the imposition of sanctions in the fields of oil, gas, industry, health, science and peace nuclear programme.
However, the return of Security Council sanctions lacks new effects, only robbing Europe of friendly interactions with Iran.
2. The hidden goal of Europe in activating trigger mechanisms is a type of psychological manipulation that seeks to worry about Iranian people by increasing the risk of this problem and affecting fluctuations in the currency and gold markets in the direction of the target. In this regard, even the Parsin TV page has published some of the UK BBC Network’s expert statements on the trigger mechanisms that experts on the network say. The trigger mechanism for Iran is symbolic and not a strange event. Iran has passed more serious sanctions, so there will not be any particular changes to the Iranian economy.
3. Another European goal to create news that focuses on revitalizing trigger mechanisms is to divert public opinion, especially European people, from the inability to resolve the Ukrainian issue, and to continue the collusion with British, French and German leaders and Zionist regimes and attacks on Gaza genocide and Syriay and Lebanon. It is also the responsibility of independent and committed media to clarify this European goal.
Overall, decisions by the three European countries will close the door to diplomatic action and disrupt the ongoing consultations between Iran and the International Atomic Energy Agency. The action will also undermine confidence in the Security Council’s decision and will ultimately cause Europe to regret Iran’s response.
