Major General Abdulrahim Musavi, the chief of staff of the Iranian army, made his remarks on Monday in a message addressed to the Yemeni state regarding the assassination.
“This crime reflects the administration’s deep fear of the growing axis of resistance,” he noted.
He added that the regime fears expanding unity among regional states in defending the Palestinian cause of Israel’s occupation and liberation from attacks.
Musabi condemned the targeted killings as “terrifying war crimes, terrorist attacks and a clear violation of international law.”
The commander said such atrocities serve yet another dishonor for the administration, calling it “the mastermind of the terrorist horrors and caregivers around the world.”
Tel Aviv relies on such bloodshed in line with its persistent offensive and expandist policies and its supporters, particularly the US policy, Mousavi says.
The message comes after Israeli airstrikes in Yemen’s capital Sanaa advocated for the lives of Prime Minister Ahmed Galeb al-Rahawi, the central government of change and construction, as well as the lives of eight staff members serving in various other portfolios.
The attack came in the context of the regime’s repeated assaults on the country.
The attack began after Yemeni troops launched an almost day-long operation against sensitive Israeli targets in response to the war of massacres launched by Tel Aviv in the Gaza Strip in October 2023.
However, the Iranian commander argued that such atrocities “will never undermine the revolutionary and faith-led resolve of Yemen’s brave fighters.”
Through its sustained struggle, the Yemeni state transformed into a symbol of resistance to global institutions of hegemony and a source of pride for the world’s Muslim nation, and Musavi concluded, pledging its continued support for some of Tehran.
