Speaking at a meeting with Rafael Grossi, director of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Karas emphasized that a diplomatic solution to Iran’s nuclear file is still possible.
In a post on social media platform X, Karas said without mentioning Europe’s own violation of JCPOA, Iran must be transparent and fully cooperate with its agents.
Referring to the meeting with Grossi, she reaffirmed the full EU support for the IAEA efforts, adding that the Bullock is ready to play that role in this regard.
“It is important for Iran to be transparent and fully cooperate with the IAEA,” she wrote to X.
“The diplomatic window is still open to resolve Iran’s nuclear issue, and the EU is ready to play this role,” she added.
Previously, British Foreign Secretary David Lamy argued that triggering a snapback mechanism to restore sanctions would not mean the end of diplomacy without addressing illegal moves by the three European countries.
