Iranian military chief of staff, Major General Abdulrahim Musavi, spoke at a meeting with lawmakers in Iranian parliament on Monday.
“The Islamic Republic’s army in Iran is fully prepared and ready to give a regretful response to aggression. With an attack on our country, our response will be more decisive and painful than last time,” General Musabi was quoted by Ebrahim Rezai, a spokesman for the National Security Committee.
“At the meeting, Major General Musabi presented a report on the military’s defense preparations to stand up to the latest positions and threats, as well as the actions and operations of the military during the 12-day war, and a strike (during the 12-day attack) by forces carried out in the Zionist regime (|Rezai said.
On June 13, Israel launched a blatant, unprovoked attack on Iran, triggering a 12-day war that killed at least 1,064 people across the country, including military commanders, nuclear scientists and ordinary civilians.
The United States also took part in the war by bombing three nuclear sites in Iran with a serious violation of international law.
In response, Iranian forces targeted strategic sites across the occupying regions and Aldeid Air Force Base in Qatar, the largest US military base in West Asia.
On June 24, Iran managed to stop the terrorist invasion through successful retaliation operations against both the Israeli regime and the United States.
