The IAEA’s confidential report was distributed to member states and the Associated Press said it had seen it. On Wednesday, Iran said it had slightly increased its uranium stockpile, which had enriched purity levels to 60% before launching a military attack on June 13.
As of June 13, Iran said that as of June 13, 440.9 kilograms (972 pounds) of uranium had been enriched by up to 60%, an increase of 32.3 kilograms (71.2 pounds) since the IAEA’s last report in May.
According to the AP, the IAEA’s confidential report states that the figures are “based on information provided by Iran, institutional verification activities (the day before the onset of the military attack) from May 17, 2025 to June 12, 2025, and estimates based on past operations of related facilities.”
The only site inspected since the war was the Bucher Nuclear Power Plant, operated with technical assistance in Russia.
Before news of the confidential report, IAEA Director Rafael Grossi said Wednesday that Iran and the agency must reach an agreement on testing.
