At the conference, both sides discussed the latest developments on Iran’s nuclear issue, particularly in light of the irresponsible and unfair actions of three European countries to revive the previously rescinded UN Security Council resolution.
The Iranian Foreign Minister reminded the high EU representative for important responsibility diplomacy as “coordinator of the JCPOA Joint Committee”, highlighting the illegality and unjust nature of the movements by the three European countries that caused a snapback mechanism against Tehran. He emphasized that the agency is expected to fulfill its responsibility and neutralize its actions in line with its obligations under JCPOA and resolution 2231.
Araguchi also highlighted consistent adherence to Iran’s diplomatic path, highlighting that Tehran remains serious and immobilized in this approach.
On her part, the EU’s diplomacy director said that diplomacy and negotiations were the only way to address the concerns of all parties, highlighting the need to provide more opportunities for diplomacy.
The meeting agreed that consultations would continue in the coming days and weeks.
