“The enemy cannot start a new war, but they want to maintain the country in a belligerent atmosphere filled with worry and tension,” said Brigadier General Ali Mohammad Naini, as quoted by PressTV.
“For this purpose, it pursues psychological operations. We are not war initiators, we are not fearful. I tell the Iranian people not to worry.
The statement came after a 12-day war that broke out on June 13, when Israel launched an unattacked offensive act, assassinating senior commanders, nuclear scientists and killing hundreds of civilians. The United States also joined the war by bombing three Iranian nuclear sites in a clear violation of international law.
On June 24, Iran managed to stop the terrorist invasion through successful retaliation operations against both the Israeli regime and the United States.
Naeini said the Israeli security doctrine collapsed during the war, saying the regime miscalculated Iran’s strength and mistakenly believed that Iranians would surrender after the first strike. Instead, he said, “people gave an overwhelming response to their paranoid enemies.”
According to Naeini, the war demonstrated the unity of the Iranian state, the strength of the military, and the effectiveness of the country’s leadership. He added that Iran emerged “more stable, cohesive and powerful” after a 12-day US-Israel attack.
“The enemy has revenged for the immobility of our people and moved into economic and psychological warfare,” he said. “But our army is perfectly prepared for all threats at all levels and is far more capable than it has before.”
The war revealed that Iranians had a deep understanding of the threat and would not compromise their identity, unity or national interests under any circumstances, the spokesman pointed out.
“The Zionist regime and the United States spent billions of dollars trying to beat the Islamic revolution and the Iranian state, but they were not successful,” he added.
