Azerbaijan Airlines conducted its first direct flight on the Baku Tabiz Baku route, under several years of suspension and the orders of President Ilham Aliyev. These flights will initially be operated twice a week, Alizadeh wrote in his X account.
Azerbaijan Airlines previously said that regular flights between Baku and Tehran will be recommended on September 1, 2025.
The Baku-Tehran route and vice versa will run four times a week on Saturday, Monday, Thursday and Friday, the statement reads.
As part of the network expansion, the airline will begin direct flights on the new Baku-Tabriz route from September 3, 2025.
The Baku-Tabriz route and vice versa will be available twice a week on Sunday and Wednesday.
Tickets for all routes can be purchased through the airline’s official website, mobile application, ticket offices, and authorized representatives.
