In a call on Sunday, Iranian Foreign Minister Seye discussed and exchanged Abbas Aragut and Venezuela Foreign Minister Ivan Gil Pinto about opinions on bilateral relations and development in the Caribbean region following recent US moves.
The Venezuelan Foreign Minister has mentioned the increasing illegal US threat to his country and has presented a report on the current situation in the region. He emphasized that the Venezuelan government and people defend the right to independence, national sovereignty and self-determination, while appreciating Iran’s principled position in defending the principles and purposes of the UN Charter and the need to respect Venezuela’s national sovereignty and territorial integrity.
He also hoped that BRICS countries and other countries in the South American region would be steadfastly condemned the US’s hostile actions.
The Iranian Foreign Minister strongly condemned the US’s unilateral and bullying actions against other countries, saying, “The threat of forcing other independent and developing countries to oppose it is a clear violation of the UN Charter, a clear danger to international peace and security, and it is necessary for all responsible governments to understand the current serious situation and prevent the spread of laws and insurance.
The Foreign Minister also announced solidarity and support of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the people of Venezuela over US bullying.
