During the meeting, both sides emphasized the need to expand cooperation between Iran and Iraq in different areas.
Reviewing the latest developments in the region and exploring ways to achieve stability and security in Islamic countries was the main topic being discussed between both sides.
On his part, the head of the Iraqi national wisdom movement pointed out Iran’s prominent role in the region and emphasized the need for further cooperation to counter regional threats and the joint efforts of the Islamic State in order to defend the inviolable rights of oppressed Palestinians.
Seyyed Ammar Al-Hakim arrived in Iran on Saturday to discuss with senior national officials.
Earlier on Saturday, Ama Hakim met with Iran’s Attorney General of the Islamic Republic and Iran’s Supreme Security Council (SNSC) Ali Laryani, Khoyjat Orzram Golamassein Moseni Ejay, on Saturday.
