Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesman Esmaeir Baghihai expressed his views in an interview with Australian Channel 9 on September 3rd on the ouster of Iranian ambassadors from Australia, Gaza’s genocide and the 12-day Israeli war against Iran.
He said, “This is a shame. I believe the Australian government’s actions are unfair. The decision to cherish its relationship with Australia and downgrade diplomatic relations was unexpected.”
He said, “Essentially, anti-Semitism has no place in our culture, history or religion. The history of coexistence with Iran with Jews, Christians and Zoroastrians does not require elaboration from me or other officials.
Baghey adds, “Please don’t forget that we are at war with Israel. They attacked us and fought a war of attack on the Iranians. Not in Iran’s history, religion or political approach.”
He also acknowledged the sentiment of Australians, saying, “I know that Australians are upset and angry at Palestinian genocide. For the past month, people in Melbourne, Sydney and other cities have taken them on the streets to protest the crimes committed on Palestinian territory. The 23rd believes that some individuals in the Australian government have either preferred or chose to quit Benjamin Netanyahu.
Regarding the arson attack on Melbourne’s synagogue and restaurant, Baghey commented: “I think this is the same synagogue commonly known for opposing Israeli policies. These are the same Jews who oppose Israeli genocide policies on Palestinian territory. In 2003, they tried to create intelligence in a similar way to justify Iraq’s claims about weapons of mass destruction.”
He said, “The responsibility of the diplomats and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is to work with other countries to promote friendly relations between our people. The relationship between people is very important to us.”
Baghaei said, “We have a very dynamic relationship with our neighbors. Consider the circumstances that followed the attacks on Iran by Israel and the US. This was an act of attack that was denounced by friends in the region and around the world.
“As a country with a rich civilized heritage and history over the past 200 years, we have not invaded any other country. Look at our history,” he said.
Bagaei said, “The core issues of the Israeli regime stem from formation, actions and policies rooted in the occupation of land in other countries. Take a look at the events of the past two years. We haven’t even talked about the past 80 years. Let’s consider what has been given to the Palestinians and the regions! Did Yemen and other countries start Israel every day?
“It is important for Western public opinion to understand reality. The fact is that the Israeli regime occupied Palestine land and committed serious crimes against the Palestinian people. They explicitly state that the Palestinian government has no place in their mindset.
Regarding the damage caused by Iran’s recent 12-day attack, Bagaei said: “This is a very complicated and technical issue. It certainly has been damaged, rather than focusing on the extent of that damage, but public and mainstream media should be concerned about the effects of such explicit violations of international law and the pride that the US and Israeli were stolen.
He said, “Our atomic energy organizations still assess the extent of damage to our facilities. However, I believe that the US President’s approval of their attacks means an open confession of the criminal acts they committed against Iran.
In response to comments that France, Germany and the UK (E3) are planning to impose strict sanctions on Iran, unless Tehran reveals the location of the nuclear material, Bagaei said: The United States is a wise violation of the UN Security Council resolution, putting pressure on Iran over the ambiguity surrounding the location of these (enriched) materials.
“These countries, Germany, France and the UK, should have acted responsibly as independent governments. They should have condemned such attacks, rather than asking Iran about the location of the materials,” he added.
“Please note that our facilities are overseen 24/7 by the International Atomic Energy Agency. This is the first time that a peaceful nuclear facility in a member state of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) has been attacked by two governments armed with nuclear weapons,” Baghaei said.
He adds, “This represents a major blow to the NPT, the rule of law, and all the fundamental principles we cherish as human civilization. In other words, this situation should not be reduced to US and Israeli attacks in what they are considered dangerous.
