“Today, a powerful hurricane attacks the sky in Gaza city and the roof of the terror tower trembles,” Katz told US social media company X.
On Friday, Israeli forces began bombing multi-storey buildings protecting hundreds of displaced people in Gaza city, claiming they were targeting Hamas infrastructure.
Katz claimed the Army “continues as planned – preparing to expand its pilots to defeat Gaza.”
The Israeli war on genocide in Gaza has killed more than 64,000 Palestinians since October 2023.
The military campaign has destroyed enclaves facing hunger. Israel has destroyed 90% of Gaza’s infrastructure, including housing, and forces nearly one million citizens to evacuate school and university buildings, according to international human rights group Human Rights Watch.
Israeli security ministers approved plans for a military occupation in Gaza city in August.
Last November, the International Criminal Court issued a warrant for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former defense minister Joab Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.
Israel is also facing a genocide case in the International Court of Justice due to its war with the enclave.
