During the call, the two top diplomats exchanged opinions on regional and international development, emphasizing the importance of respecting the peaceful nuclear rights of all member states of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT).
They review key issues in the Middle East, focusing on the unabated Israeli genocide crimes in Gaza and the expansionist policies of the Zionist regime, including the murder and forced migration of Palestinians.
Both sides also highlighted the urgent need for serious action by local states and international communities to end the atrocities and ensure prosecution and punishment of Zionist perpetrators.
The conversation also touched on Iran’s nuclear issue. Both sides emphasized the importance of respecting the rights of all NPT member states to the peaceful use of nuclear energy.
Araghchi and Abdelatty further emphasized that members of the UN Security Council (UNSC) and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) will take a clear responsibility to advance diplomacy and prevent Iran’s nuclear incident from becoming even more complicated.
