During a telephone conversation with Qatar’s head of Tamim bin Hamad bin Khalifa al Thani on Tuesday evening, President Pezeshkian strongly condemned the Israeli regime’s aggression and repeated solidarity with Iran’s Qatar.
Pezeschkian criticized the Israeli regime, ignoring accepted international norms and legal frameworks, stressing that such actions are supported by the United States. He said the Israeli regime was disrupting the security, stability and peace of the entire region under the pretext of self-defense and committing atrocities without hesitation.
The president urged Islamic countries to adopt a unified stance on these violations, arguing that collective condemnation was necessary to stop further attacks from the Israeli regime. He emphasized that coordinated responses from Islamic countries are essential to effectively dealing with and opposing ongoing crime.
In response, Qatar Emil acknowledged the importance of a unified regional attitude towards Israeli actions, and emphasized that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu would not show any restrictions on his attacks.
He said recent discussions with Hamas officials have made Israel more willing to respond proactively to ceasefire proposals from the US, merely to launch an attack during those negotiations.
He expressed his hopes for continued communication between Iran and other Islamic countries and took cooperative and effective measures to stop Israeli atrocities.
