Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Arakich welcomed the ties between the two countries by yelling in Tunis with President Kais, Tunisian President.
He also praised Tunisia’s principled stance on West Asia’s development, particularly his condemnation of Israeli and America’s offensive actions, and his support for the Palestinian cause.
Araqchi emphasized the importance of strengthening cooperation in areas of mutual interest, including economic, trade, tourism, regional and international issues.
On his part, Said described Iran-Tunicia’s relationship as a brother based on mutual understanding, respect and common positions. He also expressed Tunisia’s determination to develop relations with Iran in all areas of interest.
During the meeting, both sides also discussed the situation in West Asia, particularly the devastating circumstances of Gaza, the ongoing genocide and crime committed by the Zionist regime in occupied Palestinian territory, as well as the repeated attacks by Tel Aviv on the countries of the region and the recent terrorist strikes in Qatar.
The firm and courageous stance of the Tunisian president had the courage to shout in favor of the oppressed Palestinian state, but both sides emphasized the need for cooperation and coordination between regional states to end the warm actions of the Israeli regime.
