In an interview with the Arabi21 news outlet, Abbas Araguchi stressed that Tehran is calling on all Muslim countries to expand partnerships that serve the people and resist the policies of the Israeli regime.
He emphasized that Muslims and Western Asian countries must act without delay to halt war, bloodshed and regime plans in Palestine and the wider regions. Referring to repeated Arab, Islamic and international conferences on the Palestinian issue, the Minister noted that such gatherings have not been brought about. He argued that the Palestinians do not need any more words, but rather essential aid, which is food and fundamental necessities, until the end of the injustice they face.
Araguchi also condemned the recent Israeli strike against Qatar’s Hamas leadership, explaining it is reminiscent of the regime’s past assassinations and terrorist operations targeting Iranian scientists and politicians. He also compared attacks with Israel’s previous crimes against Palestinian and Lebanese resistance leaders over the past two years in Iran, Lebanon, Palestine, Syria and other parts of the region. Such actions demonstrate that Israel ignores all red lines, he said.
On June 13, Israel launched an unprovoked war with Iran, assassinating senior military commanders, nuclear scientists and civilians. Then, on September 9, Israeli airstrikes targeted Hamas headquarters in Doha, labeled “assassination operation.” The attack killed several Hamas members along with Qatari security guards. However, senior leaders of the movement, Khalil Al Haiya, Khaled Meshal and Zahar Jabalin, made the assassination attempt easy.
Qatar has played a central role as a mediator in negotiations between Hamas and Israel. However, on September 10, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu threatened further assassination attempts against the leader of Hamas in Qatar if Doha refused to expel the group’s officials.
Aragucci also warned against ongoing Israeli invasions in Syria and Lebanon, highlighting new colonial projects in Tel Aviv, aimed at distributing Syria and seizing additional territory, particularly at the heights of the southern and occupied Golan.
Iran’s foreign minister concluded by calling on Arabs, Muslims and Asian countries to oppose Israel’s expansionist plan.
