The two ministers met on the sidelines of the 11th International Universal Cultural Forum in St. Petersburg and exchanged opinions on the development of cooperation.
A trip to St. Petersburg to participate in multilateral international events, Seyeda Abbas Salech held a bilateral meeting with the Minister of Culture, Tajikistan Matrobakan Satalyan Amanzadeh, a side job at the 11th International Forum of Unified Culture.
At the conference, the Iranian minister noted similarities in views on Iran and Tajikistan’s cultural issues, saying, “It is appropriate to plan joint action, as the two countries have a relationship in the field of culture.”
Salehi proposed to hold a joint event in the form of contests and awards ceremonies in the field of Nakkari and reading, which have roots in both Iranian and Tajikistan history.
The Minister of Culture of the Republic of Tajikistan welcomed such a proposal for her and expressed her gratitude for her support for the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Leadership of the Islamic Republic of Iran in publishing Book Shaname.
Aman Zadeh pointed out that according to the orders of the Tajikistan president, all citizens of her country will be given a quantity of shahname.
The Tajikistan Culture Minister has since proposed to hold events of Iranian Culture Week in her country.
