Al Thani made a speech at the preparatory meeting of the Arab Islamic Summit held in Doha on Monday in response to Israeli strikes against the leaders of the Palestinian Resistance Hamas in Doha on September 9th.
“The ongoing violation of Israel’s international law has been manifested in the attacks on Doha, and that can be explained as state terrorism,” he said, Press TV reported.
He added that Israel’s attacks on Hamas leaders in Doha lead to nothing more than efforts to curb the escalation.
The Prime Minister emphasized that Israel’s “practics” cannot stop Qatar’s mediation efforts with Egypt and the United States to end the war in Gaza.
On Tuesday, the Israeli regime launched missiles in a residential area in Doha, targeting Hamas leaders. Hamas leaders had met to discuss a proposal for President Donald Trump to bring a ceasefire in Gaza.
Top Hamas leaders survived the attack. However, five members of the Gaza-based resistance group and Qatari security guards were killed.
The UN Security Council unanimously condemned the Israeli regime’s attacks.
Qatar’s Prime Minister said Israel would deliberately expand the war and decline consecutive ceasefire proposals.
Al Thani said it is ripe for the international community to hold the Tel Aviv regime accountable “for all the crimes it committed.”
“Israel must know that the ongoing war of genocide against the Palestinians cannot be successful, with the aim of forcing them to relocate outside their homeland.
He noted that participants at the Arab Islamic Summit on Monday condemned Israel’s “wild” attacks and would support Qatar’s legal action to protect its sovereignty.
The Prime Minister emphasized the importance of taking violent and solid measures in dealing with Israeli attacks.
Qatar, along with the US and Egypt, has been a mediator of negotiations to end the Israeli war with Gaza, which has killed at least 64,871 Palestinians, mostly women and children since October 2023.
