Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan was given the resignation ambassador to Medi Sobani, Armenia, Iran’s Islamic Republic, at the end of his diplomatic mission.
Minister Mirzoyan emphasized that despite the complicated periods of ambassador Sobani served, Armenia and Iran were not only able to overcome the challenges, but also achieved concrete progress in bilateral relations.
The two discussed ongoing and future efforts aimed at deepening Armenia-Iran’s strategic partnership covering areas of mutual interest, such as infrastructure and energy projects.
The side emphasized that Armenia and Iran’s cooperation is rooted in friendship between the two people, mutual understanding of key regional issues, and unwavering respect for principles essential to regional peace.
Recognizing Ambassador Sobani’s important contribution to strengthening Armenia-Iran relations, Minister Mirzoyan presented him with the friendship medal awarded to the President of Armenia, and hoped for success in his future efforts.
