During his meeting with Lebanese President Joseph Aung on the sidelines of the extraordinary Arab-Islamic Summit in Doha on Monday, President Pezeshkian emphasized Iran’s commitment to expand and strengthen cooperation with Lebanon and other regional countries based on mutual respect and interaction between the two sides.
Pezeshkian has repeatedly reiterated his longstanding goal of promoting unity and unity between Iran and his neighboring Muslim countries, and the commitment he has maintained since the presidential election.
He also said Iran’s approach to strengthening cooperation is rooted in religious teaching and defends principles that encourage mutual respect. He expressed his confidence that adherence to this principle would prevent issues of diplomatic relations.
In response to the continued attacks by the Israeli regime on Islamic state, Pezeshkian argued that its actions demonstrated a blatant disregard for boundaries and human rights. The Iranian president not only ignored Gaza violence, but also lamented the country’s silence that it not only provides military and legal support to the Israeli regime, but also protects freedom and human rights.
On his part, President Oun expressed his joy in his encounter with Pezeshkian, affirming Lebanese’s desire for friendly relations based on mutual respect and interest with Iran. He expressed optimism about overcoming obstacles to further develop cooperation between the two countries.
Aoun also conveyed Lebanon’s hopes for Iran’s progress, prosperity and peace, denounced the Israeli regime’s invasion of Iran.
He emphasized that while it is natural that different perspectives between countries can be overcome through understanding and ongoing collaboration.
