Kaja Karas, a high representative for European foreign affairs and security policy, along with foreign ministers from Germany, France and the UK, had a telephone conversation with Foreign Minister Sey Abbas Aragut, Iran’s Foreign Minister Sey Abbas Aragut on Wednesday.
According to a statement released by the German Foreign Ministry, Karas and three European ministers “have started calling at Iran’s counterparts to continue their diplomatic efforts.”
In their joint comments, the European side argued that Iran has not yet taken “necessary reasonable and accurate measures” under UN Security Council resolution 2231.
According to a reading of telephone conversations by the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, it focused on removing Iran’s nuclear issue and anti-Iran sanctions.
The Iranian Foreign Minister has considered moves by three European countries to revive the lack of legal or logical legitimacy by the three European countries, referring to Iran’s principled position on the importance of maintaining a dialogue and diplomatic atmosphere to prevent an increase in tension. “The Islamic Republic of Iran has concluded a dialogue with the International Atomic Energy Agency with a responsible approach and developed a clear modality on how to meet Iran’s protection obligations that emerged after the 12-day US-Israel attack,” Aragut said.
“It’s the other side’s turn to use this opportunity to continue on the diplomatic path, prevent avoidable crises, and show their severity and belief in diplomacy,” Araguchi continued.
Yesterday, Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghaei was scheduled to hold a joint telephone conversation on Wednesday between the Iranian foreign minister, three European ministers (Germany, France and the UK) and the European Union’s foreign policy director.
“It is a natural expectation that a positive Iranian approach with good intentions will receive similar and mutual action from European political parties. We have shown that we will not move away from diplomacy, but will use every opportunity to ensure the benefits and happiness of the Iranian people.
