On Thursday, Russian Energy Minister Sergei Tsibilev visited Iran and met with Iranian oil minister Mohsen Paknejad, who co-chairs the permanent committee on trade and economic cooperation between Iran and Russia.
The meeting was attended by representatives from related government agencies and businesses from both countries.
During discussions, the two discussed cooperation in the areas of fuel and energy. They also considered implementing the contracts reached during the 18th session of the Intergovernmental Committee held in Moscow from April 23-25, 2025.
Special attention was paid to preparing for the 19th session of the committee, which is scheduled to be held in Iran.
At the end of the meeting, Minister Tsivilev expressed his gratitude to Iranian side for his consequentially oriented approach and constructive dialogue.
