According to China Central Television (CCTV), Xi emphasized the importance of reminiscing shared history, saying, “The Chinese will not forget the valuable support provided by the US and other countries during the war of resistance against Japan.
“Chinese-American relationships are extremely important. China and the US can contribute to each other’s success, strive to jointly prosper and mutual benefits, and benefit the whole world,” Xi added.
Following the call, Trump described the conversation with XI as “very productive” and noted the developments of several important issues, including the China-US trade, the fentanyl and Tiktok trade, and the Ukrainian war.
“We have made progress on many very important issues, including trade, fentanyl and the need to end the war between Russia and Ukraine,” Trump wrote of the True Society.
