The social media was convened on Saturday for a meeting chaired by President Masoud Pezeshkian. At the end of this, it was declared that the European lawsuit has suspended cooperation with the IAEA.
During today’s social media conference, participants discussed and exchanged opinions on local circumstances and adventurism by the Zionist regime. Meanwhile, the Council stressed that Iran’s policy of Islamic Republic in the current situation is to cooperate as much as possible to establish peace and stability in the region.
The Council noted that despite extensive cooperation between Iran and the IAEA and the presentation of constructive proposals to resolve unresolved issues, the European Troika, Britain, France and Germany acted recklessly in pursuing hostile measures. As a result, it was declared that “the path to cooperation with the institution will be suspended.”
This decision is not only a defensive response, but also a legitimate and legitimate action based on Iran’s sovereign rights. The Council emphasized that Tehran’s commitment to the Cairo agreement with the IAEA is always conditional. Iran will only support the agreement if no hostile action is taken. Europeans openly violated this prerequisite by pursuing snapback mechanisms and other forced moves, with Iran having no choice but to suspend cooperation.
Authorities stressed that this response should not be misunderstood as Iran, abandoning diplomacy. On the contrary, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is entrusted with continuing consultations in line with the council’s decisions, but technically based on protecting the security and interests of the country.
The statement further noted that the real responsibility for the collapse of cooperation lies with the European government. The European government has shown that it does not want to or does not want to maintain an independent, well-intentioned approach to diplomacy. Instead, they followed Washington’s agenda and rounded out the dialogue path.
Iranian officials stressed that the move is in perfect alignment with international law. This is because one party is not bound, and the other party will not act maliciously. They added that the snapback push is illegal and disruptive to global non-proliferation standards.
