Omar al-Mukhtar, equipped with intensive care units and emergency medical supplies, left the port on Sunday after weather conditions delayed previous departures, spokesman Nabil al-Souni said.
“We now have all the equipment fully prepared and have increased the storage of some supplies in the small boats that were understood for their size,” Arsokni told the Anadoru Agency (AA).
He said the containers carry tents for evacuated Palestinians, medicines, baby formulas and other important supplies, while also creating room for small boat activists to continue their journey.
“The popular moral support we received from several parties in Libya was a powerful message to boost the morale of our crew on Omar al-Mukhtar,” added Al Souni.
According to a spokesman, former Libyan Prime Minister Omar al-Hussie is among those on board alongside international activists.
Medical Officer Abdel Rahman Humaid said the health team was gathering and an intensive care facility was set up on the ship.
“We equipped the vessel with the equipment and medicines needed, and everything needed for intensive care,” he said.
