Palestinian Islamic Resistance Group said requests for permanent ceasefires, prisoner exchanges, unhindered delivery of humanitarian assistance, Israel’s withdrawal from Gaza and halt to confiscation of settlement buildings and land must be translated into concrete actions.
Hamas also expressed his gratitude for all international status in supporting the justice of the Palestinian people, including ending the occupation of Israel, establishing a fully sovereign Palestinian state, and ensuring the right to return of refugees.
The group reaffirmed that together with other Palestinians, they formed a “national liberation movement,” and emphasized that as the capital becomes a realised right under international law until the occupation ends.
On Sunday, 11 countries (UK, Canada, Australia, Portugal, Luxembourg, Belgium, Andorra, France, Malta, Monaco and San Marino) officially recognized the state of Palestine, increasing the number of recognitions to 159 out of 193 UN member states.
