Seyyed Reza Salehi Amiri commented at Saudi Arabia National Day held at Hotel Espinas in Tehran on Wednesday.
“Saudi Arabia is a country that we are honored to as hosts of two sacred mosques and our friends and brothers. Last year, 86,000 of our fellow Iranians made Hajj pilgrimages and over 200,000 played Hajj Umrah,” he said.
“We value hosting Saudi Arabian pilgrims and hope that relations between the two countries will expand daily and these bonds will deepen,” he continued.
Salehi Amiri continued to emphasize that “Iran’s view of Saudi Arabia is not only due to the country and the two sacred mosques and hosts of pilgrims, but also for the strategic commonality between the two sides of the political and regional.”
He added, “Fortunately, political relations between the two countries and their relations have witnessed an upward trend as there is always ongoing consultations between senior officials of both countries.”
