Masoud Pezeshkian gave a strong speech at the UN General Assembly, representing Iran’s perspective on major global issues.
At the beginning of his speech, the Iranian president pointed to an ongoing Israeli genocide campaign in the Gaza Strip and condemned the silence in the face of Israeli regime’s atrocities.
He strongly condemned the atrocities of the genocide of Gaza, Lebanon, Syria, Qatar, Yemen by the Israeli regime, including being supported by the United States, and warned that other countries in the region would come to them one day.
“The Zionists have launched an offensive action against Iran while negotiating with US envoys,” the president said in relation to the regime’s aggression against Iran, which was supported by the US in June during the 12-day war.
He expanded his gratitude for all Iranians to all the countries where Iran stood during Israeli invasion against Iran.
“The Iranian people stood behind the troops as soon as the first act of the attack began,” he emphasized.
He addressed the Western countries, saying, “They need to realize that Iran will never surrender in the face of atrocities.”
He then said he emphasized that Iran’s nuclear program is completely peaceful and that he will not do so in the future, even though Iran has never sought nuclear weapons.
He added that true security is achieved not by force but by self-building, mutual respect, regional convergence and multilateralism under international law.
