Iranian President Pezeschkian met with French President Macron on the sidelines at the 80th session of the UN General Assembly held in New York on Wednesday.
My encounter with Macron was my first meeting with Pezeschkian with leaders from other countries in New York. The issue of continuing cooperation between Iran, the International Atomic Energy Agency and the snapback mechanism, was one of the most important topics of discussion at the conference, as reported by local Iranian media.
After the meeting, Macron took him to X and posted that he had conveyed alleged concerns in Europe over Iran’s tense relations with the IAEA, and that he had repeated the unlawful demands of Europeans.
“Agreement is still possible. There are only a few hours left. It’s up to Iran to respond to the legitimate terms we have set,” the French president wrote in his post.
