The top Iranian diplomat who traveled to New York to attend New York’s 80th UN General Assembly held discussions with the Foreign Minister of Venezuela on Saturday.
During the discussions, the two countries expressed their satisfaction with the stable and good relations between the two countries and strengthened relations in all areas, highlighting the shared decisions of senior officials from both countries.
Two diplomats from Iran and Venezuela reviewed the development of regions, including the Caribbean and Western Asia, and warned of the dangers of promoting unilateral lawlessness by the United States and its allies.
Referring to US interventionist policies in the Caribbean, Iranian Foreign Minister condemned the threat to Venezuela’s national sovereignty and territorial integrity, and expressed solidarity between the Venezuelan people and the government.
The Venezuelan Foreign Minister emphasized the rights of all member states of the non-proliferation treaty to benefit from peaceful nuclear energy, and condemned the pressure and threats of the US and several European countries on Iran.
Pinto described the misuse of the UN Security Council as a tool to put pressure on Iran as a fatal blow to the reliability and status of the UN.
The two foreign ministers also strongly condemned Gaza’s genocide and murder. Gaza continued to be directly involved with US accomplices, viewing the immunity of the Zionist regime as an urgent threat to international peace and security, promptly appealing for immediate action by the international community, halting genocide, prosecuting and punishing criminals and their supporters.
