Israeli newspaper Israel Heyom reported that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met on Sunday with President Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner, White House special envoy Steve Witkov, and Steve Witkov, who focused on the war in Gaza and the possible scenarios to end it. Neither side gave any details or results from the meeting.
Previously, Trump told Axios that negotiations on the Gaza war could enter the “final stage” and pave the way for wider peace in the Western Asia region.
All the parties are coming together to reach an agreement, but we still have to finish our work, he said, adding that the Arab countries have shown enormous cooperation.
The US President also argued that Hamas is working with Arab countries in pursuit of peace. He argued that the Arab world wanted peace, Israel wanted peace, and Netanyahu wanted peace.
Reports say Kushner and Witkov met with Netanyahu before a planned meeting between Israeli perspectives at the White House on Monday, narrowing down the remaining differences.
Israel has not formally commented on the issue, but Trump said Netanyahu supports his plan. Recently, Israeli and Arab representatives have worked to revise draft potential agreements.
There are two major contradictory points remaining between the US and the Zionist regime. How to disarm Hamas and whether Palestinian authorities should play a role in Gaza. Netanyahu repeatedly declared that the return of authority to Gaza was a red line.
