Speaking at the conference on Iran-Russia relations, Iran’s first vice president, Mohammad Reza Alev, said during a recent high-level meeting with the Russian Prime Minister, he emphasized the determination that both Tehran and Moscow would expand bilateral relations.
As a neighboring nation, the AREF points out that Russia holds a significant position in Iran’s foreign policy. He shared his interest and emphasized that broad capabilities in bilateral relations provide a solid foundation for strengthening cooperation between Tehran and Moscow.
He emphasized that within this framework, strengthening coordination and fully utilizing the capabilities of both countries remains a priority, highlighting the importance of the active role of the Iran-Russia Joint Cooperation Committee.
Pointing to the prioritization of relations with Russia in Iran’s foreign policy, he further emphasized the importance of continuing consultations between Tehran and Moscow at the International Forum.
The AREF also highlights the need to make the most of all available opportunities, including increasing private sector contact and strengthening the Chamber of Commerce.
The meeting attended by relevant officials reviewed and evaluated the latest status of various areas of cooperation between Iran and Russia.
